38 Years of Giving is Just the Beginning…
The Islam Presentation Committee is an affiliate of the Society of Deliverance charity committees which were established in 1399 AH / 1978 AD. This year began with the establishment of the Committee started out in a small room.
The idea was for a number of young people who truly care about their religion while they were on fertile ground for an invitation. The Idea began with these boys in the Process of teaching expatriates of various nationalities. So they started teaching the Arabic language, and then introduced them to the principles, values and foundations of Islam.
It was limited to Fridays of each week and was the only time for a person to be called upon to preach at the Committee. From that point on the Committee named it “Friday School.”
After the spread of the idea and the exponentially rapid growing number of converters it has been renting an apartment in endowments, and with the passing of time it became motivated and the desires of the people, of this generous country, to help in the spread of Islam, became very important and dear to them. The organizers of the the Committee, then began to develop and expand their circles of influence with activities that became the headquarters of the Committee; Mosque Mullah Salih on Fahad Al-Salem Street.
The number of branches for the Committee has now reached 15 branches in various areas of Kuwait. These branches play their thanks to God in the call by acting as a guarantor of the activity’s, whose numbers swelled to more than 74 callings speaking more than 14 languages.
The sheer size of the achievements that have been accomplished since 2009, thanks to God, in addition to the efforts of those in charge of this blessed Committee, have been remarkable. It has been a remarkable achievement as the number of those who brandished their Islamic belief since its inception have reached over 70 thousand Converters from many different nationalities.
Furthermore, the Committee shall be a social, educational, and religious presence for many new Muslims as well as for the children of the Muslim communities in Kuwait. We provide services through the establishment of Friday sermons in different languages, organizing annual Iftar projects which offers more than 100 thousand meals.
Besides organizing lectures, seminars and forums for non-Muslims where we explain the principles of Islam in a simplified explanation as well as clearly. The Committee also maintains many recreational and leisure activities for non-Muslims. Not to mention the establishment of the Arab language classes for non-native speakers in various branches of the Committee; To reach that goal the committee prints and provides all of the books for Preaching, as well as videos and pamphlets for both Muslims and non-Muslims in various languages.
The Committee also extends support to our foreign Islamic centers, whether it be financial or moral support. As well as Preaching expertise, and co-operation for the sake of this humble service.
The Committee also became the first charity to have an institute for civil training. The Name of this Institute is “CAMS National Institute for Training,” which trains staff and volunteers in charity work. They operate under the umbrella of the Al-Najat Charitable Society.
The Committee also released a six-year humanitarian magazine since it is specialized in calling for Peace understanding. Now we has a visible footprint in Kuwait, especially in educating the Muslim communities and spreading awareness of their duties towards advocacy and its importance. This and to ask God to help guide them so that they are able to accomplish the task.
