The Islamic Presentation Committee announced the completion of distributing 600 libraries containing translations of the meanings of the Holy Qur’an, covering 547 mosques in the governorates of Ahmadi, Hawalli, and Mubarak Al-Kabeer.

Director General of the Committee, Ammar Al-Kandari, stated that the distribution took place in two phases, supported generously by the Federal government office in Kuwait , which allocated KD 60,000 to fund the project—at a cost of KD 100 per library.

He added that the first phase was completed in November of last year, and the second phase concluded in March of this year, with 300 libraries distributed in each phase.

Al-Kandari explained that the libraries include translations in six languages: English, Urdu, Nepali, Tamil, Hindi, and Bengali. They also contain booklets with supplications, mosque etiquettes, and religious rulings, all aimed at enhancing the spiritual and cultural awareness of non-Arabic-speaking Muslim communities.

He emphasized that the Translated Qur’an Library Project is one of the Islamic Presentation Committee’s flagship initiatives, falling under its efforts to provide religious and cultural support to non-Arabic-speaking Muslims.

Al-Kandari highlighted that through this project, the committee aims to spread translations of the Qur’an’s meanings in areas with large populations of expatriate communities from various nationalities, helping to connect them with the Book of Allah and deepen their understanding of Islam and its teachings.

He concluded by expressing gratitude to the Federal government office in Kuwait for its ongoing support, praising its dedication to offering religious care and instilling Islamic values in the hearts of non-Arabic-speaking residents.
