The Islamic Presentation Committee announced that Ramadan 2025 recorded the highest number of conversions to Islam in Kuwait over the past seven years, particularly among non-Arabic-speaking communities.
Director General of the Committee, Ammar Al-Kandari, stated that the total number of individuals who embraced Islam by the end of the holy month reached 734, by the grace of Allah and through the dedicated efforts of 78 male and female preachers from diverse nationalities.
Al-Kandari noted that these figures reflect the great success of the “Change Their Lives” campaign launched by the committee during Ramadan to introduce Islam to non-Muslim expatriates, conducted in 14 languages.
He emphasized that this achievement also crowns the comprehensive plan laid out by the committee to activate a wide range of programs and Da’wah activities throughout the month, which included delivering 1,180 Da’wah lectures across Kuwait and distributing 1,703 Da’wah kits.
He pointed out that the Qur’an competitions for non-Arabic speakers saw high participation, with over 1,000 contestants in the 23rd edition of the Al-Rahimani Competition, and 325 participants in the 4th edition of the Al-Hammad Competition.
The committee also provided more than 46,000 Iftar meals through its “Iftar and Da’wah” project dedicated to non-Arabic-speaking communities, carried out across its branches throughout Kuwait.
Regarding the committee’s efforts during Eid Al-Fitr, Al-Kandari mentioned that several special programs were organized for both Muslim expatriates and new converts to share the joy of Eid, many experiencing it for the first time after embracing Islam.
Al-Kandari concluded by thanking all those who supported the “Change Their Lives” campaign, contributed to sponsoring preachers, educating new Muslims, and supporting Qur’an competitions. He called on everyone to continue their support to sustain and expand these impactful Da’wah efforts.
